Burt has a long family history of artists and creators in his family. From his Grandmother, Aunts, Father, to siblings, he also has a passion for creating. His parents instilled a deep connection and love for nature at a young age that has carried throughout his life. As the business at OHAE has evolved, he has taken his gourd work to new heights. He has started gourd seedlings, raised them through the summer, dried them through winter, and cleans them before production in the spring. Then it is off to the studio for creation.
